Crowds of young men in Japan lined up for a virtual porn convention that ended prematurely. The world’s first VR or “Virtual Reality” porn festival ended just as it started, due to massive overcrowding and fears that a riot would break out. Relax, it’s just porn.
According to VR talk, a Japanese site that translated local news reports into English, “There were so many that it was almost impossible to keep the situation under control. The 20 lucky guys closest to the building were let in by the staff.”
The festival, in the Akihabara region of Tokyo, featured the latest virtual reality inventions from the porn meets tech world. Stimulation headsets, sex dolls, and high-tech sex toys for boys, such as a machine that gives a mechanical hand job, were on hand.
Apparently, interest in having simulated sex is throbbing. Curious Googlers searching for virtual reality porn has increased by 10,000 percent in the last 20 months. No wonder courtship rituals are at an all-time low.
