Expanding your sexual energy has many benefits that include, healing past relationships and awakening enormous pleasures.
Have you ever had a sudden lump in your throat, butterflies in your stomach, or an aching heart? Then your chakras have spoken to you, connecting your emotions to your mind and body.
The seven chakras, or ‘energy wheels’ in the ancient Hindu language of Sanskrit, are aligned along the center of our body beginning with the Root chakra located in the base of the spine and ending with the Crown chakra at the top of the head.
Energy flows through these centers and allows emotions to manifest such as wellbeing, comfort and love. But when the energy is unbalanced, we can also experience fear, anger and sadness. To keep a harmonious relationship to our own bodies, it’s important to pay attention to this flow of energy, making sure that it doesn’t get blocked and cause unnecessary discomfort, pain and frustration.
The chakras are connected to light, sound and color and are associated with the organs near their energy zone. In my new book Neuroloveology, I’ve created ‘neuro-cises’ to energize each chakra, and help people connect with their emotional centers. I’d like to share some neuro-cises with you today that will energize your Sacral (sexual) chakra and your Heart chakra.
The Sacral chakra, associated with the color orange, is connected to our reproductive capacity and sexual desire. It’s located in the ovaries and testes where sex hormones are produced. When our sacral chakra is open, we feel creative and emotionally and sexually fulfilled. A sense of abundance flows through our mind and body. But if the sacral chakra is blocked, feelings of frustration about relationships and lack of sexual desire begin to manifest.
To keep the Sacral chakra energy flowing, try one of these two neuro-cises. One is for couples, the other for singles:
Neuro-cise: Sacral Chakra, Duo
Put your hand on your Sacral Chakra and tell your partner what he/she does to turn you on the most.
Neuro-cise: Sacral Chakra, Solo
Belly dancing is one of the best physical activities to open up the Sacral chakra, but if belly dancing is not your style, try some pelvic thrusting movements to get the blood flowing to your pelvic regions.
The Heart chakra is located in the center of the chest, just above the heart. It is associated with the color green and relates to the immune system and the endocrine (hormonal) system, evoking compassion and love. When your heart chakra is open, you love yourself and feel compassion for others without judgment. If the Heart chakra is blocked, feelings of mistrust seep in, and it’s difficult to find peace of mind or give and receive love.
Keep the Heart chakra energy flowing with these neuro-cises:
Neuro-cise: Heart Chakra, Duo
Place your prominent hand on each other’s heart, close your eyes and tune into your partner’s heartbeat. Breathe in and out in a slow steady rhythm together and feel the connection between your life force energies expanding your hearts to let more love into your lives.
Neuro-cise: Heart Chakra, Solo
Give yourself three positive affirmations every day, for love, health, success, abundance, or any other goal you may have. Start with “I am…” and then fill in the blank as if it has already happened. For example, “I am loved,” “I am in great health,” or “I am a confident and positive person worthy of the success I have.”
I encourage everyone to tune into their chakra energies to improve their love and sex lives and deepen their relationships.
