The Wellcome Collection, a museum in London that specializes in medical history, opens “The Institute of Sexology” exhibit on November 20th. The show is the first UK exhibition to bring together the pioneers of sexology.
The show tells the “often contradictory” story of the study of sex through pioneering researchers including Sigmund Freud, Alfred Kinsey, Margaret Mead, William Masters and Virginia Johnson.
200 objects are included such as the original filled-out sex surveys conducted by Dr. Alfred Kinsey, as well as rare vintage film clips and photographs.
The museum promises the show will “lay bare the big questions of human sexuality”and “undress your mind,” which sounds like our idea of a good time.
